How Volunteer activities Eco Farm work?

Volunteer Activities at the NamKhan Eco Farm

As a volunteer, you will do Volunteer activities Eco Farm in a community of up to 10 volunteers near Luang Prabang, Laos. You will live on the NamKhan Eco Farm in local, wood housing structors. We have three rooms for up to 4 people in each on our farm and 2 rooms available at our downtown office.

You will mainly work on the eco farm. Tasks include helping the farmers with seeding, planting, harvesting, or preparing the soil or compost depending on the season.

Other jobs that need to be done to keep the community running include helping in the kitchen, machinery maintenance and organizing the storage facilities.

The work hours of our staff are from 7:30 am until 5 pm in which volunteers must fill 5 hours between those times. Educational hours are between 5 and 7 pm. These times include either teaching our staff english or teaching the children in the village next door.

The volunteer coordinator will make a schedule once a week with the attending volunteers in order to schedule the different tasks. We try to make it as easy and un-administrative as possible.
